More Hospital Photos

Here are a few photos from the morning after surgery. The woman with the mask is Janet, my friend and neighbor. The woman in bed is Brandie, the woman who gave me her kidney. The guy on the cell phone is Constantine, one of my favorite nurses, who hailed from Romania. Look how I'm beaming!

Hi Heidi,

My name is Gabrielle, I'm a student at Cal. State Northridge and I'm writing a feature story on Brandie's donation and her husbands transplant. I heard about the program all three of you were in and I was wondering if it would be OK if I could use the picture of you and Brandie or the picture of you, your neighbor, and Brandie for my article?

You can contact me at my gmail account

I hope to hear from you soon and I'm glad to see you're doing well with the transplant.

Thank you,

Gabrielle

Heidi,

Brandie said it was OK with her, as well. Thank you for allowing me to use the photo of you two and I will make sure the photo courtesy is from you.

May I ask if you would be comfortable releasing you last name for the article and photo? Or would you just like to go by your first name?

I would like to ask you a couple of questions regarding the transplant if that is OK with you.

Thanks,

Gabie

Gabrielle, nice job. If possible, please change English professor to journalism professor. And Janet Leis took the photo. Also, I don't mind if you use my full name. Thanks much.

About Me

Southern California, United States
Perhaps my friend Mark summed me up best when he called me "a mystical grammarian." I am quite a mix--otherworldly, ethereal and in touch with "the beyond," yet prone to being very precise and logical, when need be. Romantic in the big-canvas meaning of the word, I see the world as an adventure, as a love poem, as a realm of beauty and wonder.
